SO LONG, LONESOME (2021)
During these two years, the pandemic has penetrated our lives and reformed the way we lived. Especially I moved to Melbourne at the beginning of this semester, I spent most of my time in my home. Suddenly all kinds of emotions came knocking at the door. As the semester progressed, I began to capture the small detail about my neighborhood and surrounding objects every day and involved the cool color tone to represent the melancholy mood.
This series of images mainly used blue color to dominate, as blue is described as a feeling of calmness or serenity. However, this work is trying to balance calmness and emptiness. When I wandered around Brunswick, I wanted to document life during this particular period. And also captured all the tangible and intangible moments.
